A Grand Day Out

I went into Wiesbaden today to search for a particular brand of Chilli Sauce.  Sriracha may be the popular choice, but it doesn't taste as good as Encona.

So I went to all the shops where I've found it before and nobody had any.

What to do?

And because yesterday was such a positive day, I went to Frankfurt.  Alone and on the train. If anything was going to be a huge test for my hyper sensitive anxiety, it was going to be the Bahnhofsviertel.

It was not easy.  I know it's much better than it was in the 80s, but it's still not a place to let your guard down.

I went to the shop that I know always had my sauce - Spicelands.  It had 6 different types of Encona sauce, but not the one I specifically wanted.  Thankfully there are plenty of other international supermarkets and I did eventually find my sauce.

And I walked for miles.  Despite the howling wind.

The main Blip is a detail from the Eiserner Steg - a pedestrian bridge.  Most people photograph the thousands of love locks (padlocks with names of couples on), and i know I've blipped them before too.  But I hadn't noticed these figures before.

The extra is Mainhattan.  And one of those HUGE hotel boats.

And in an interesting development, I got a call from the psychiatric clinic.  When they don't have to deal with an emergency, then I can go in tomorrow.

I don't know if I'll be able to blip and I don't know how long for.  We shall see.

I don't look at this as the end of something, I see it as a new beginning.  I'm fighting my fight and I will win the victory I need.
