Cowboy Builders

This collapse happened just round the corner from our offices. The builder had been constructing a basement of some sorts.

I am surprised that there aren't more sights like this in and around London with all the basement construction going on and the lack of control on the qualifications one needs to be a "builder".

I feel for the innocent people involved.... The tenants in the flats who have been evacuated (including the house next door). Did they grab their wallets or even car keys on their way out. There would have been a lot of dust.

I don't think anyone was injured, but... where to stay, how to get money, clothes, food. How to get to work.

All the stuff in the house - the memento's, wedding photos, irreplaceable personal items. No one is going in there to get them!

Any blips they've taken will be safe though!
