Up at Dawn

An early start today to see the Pink Footed geese rising from their night time roost on Loch Leven in Fife.
So we met the RSPB wardens in the dark, walked down to the waterside viewing point, and waited as the day light gathered across the slightly misty and rather beautiful Loch.  The geese chattered and stirred but were having a lazy morning and weren't in favour of getting going...We had to leave them to it as it was very cold and cups of coffee were calling us.
Luckily as we took a drive back to Edinburgh along some narrow roads the other side of Loch Leven we found the geese which we were delighted about.
We stopped at Falkland and headed back from our very early morning out.
