Olive Tree

Most of the olive trees in this grove had enormous trunks with a diameter of up two meters on some. As a rough guide each growth ring is about 1mm to 3mm wide so, the radius measured is 1000mm, therefore between 330 and 1000 years old. I had a chance to check this out the day before on a cut tree and that was 120 years old until it was pointed that the cut olive trunk was one of three that had split from a single trunk, making it considerably older.
