Visitors

While we were at a work dinner tonight, the waiters began laying this very elaborate table beside us. We were told that it was being prepared for a delegation from the Fatah revolutionary council, who are visiting Gaza this week.

This visit is a significant step and may signal the way for reconciliation between Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Fatah in the West Bank. The political division between the two sides over the past five years has been very damaging for the people of Palestine.

One positive outcome of the recent offensive may be that the people of the Palestine will speak with one voice once more.
