Yellow

Had a lie-in and began to feel a bit brighter by the afternoon. Went out to remove yet more fallen leaves from the pond. Water was very cold and the water soldiers seem to be sinking down to the bottom of the pond in preparation for winter.

These cheery yellow flowers are still going strong and were looking lovely with raindrops all over them. The hellebores are looking great and have lots of buds on them.

Did some cooking in the afternoon to try use up the huge stock of vegetables lurking in the freezer. Spicy parsnip and carrot soup to take for lunch tomorrow, butternut squash and spinach dahl and spicy root vegetable samosas for tea.
