I'm not sure I would step out on this structure as it looks altogether frail and suspect. Yet when we get involved in peacebuilding we often need to trust people who we don't know and who may seem suspect or frail. Trust is a gift to give to another and, as with many gifts, it might be turned down or abused. Nonetheless it has the power to liberate the giver and the receiver. So trust doesn't always seem either sensible or practical, but unless we trust we rarely move on.
