River Tay at Low Tide

Had to wait in for a delivery today, which was a shame as the weather was lovely.  However, it arrived about 2.30 pm, so we went out for a drive along the scenic route by the bank of the River Tay.  From a height, you could see for miles across to the Angus Hills (I think, though I get very confused with hill ranges!)

The tide was out and you could see all the sandbanks that are usually hidden by the water.  Lots of things to photograph; colourful beech hedges, Aberdeen Angus calves with their mums, a lone buzzard, Ballinbreich Castle and a very friendly pony in a field, so I had a lovely time.  Not so good for TJ who had to drive with the low sun straight in his eyes for much of the way back:-)  He's a star:-)
