The Wedding Planner

The time has come. He’s ready to be wed.
He’s chosen the dress his intended spouse
will wear and can easily visualise the tear
being shed as the mother of the bride
catches sight of her beautiful, unsullied daughter,
gliding down the aisle, dressed in white.

It will be a momentous occasion, celebrated
in style; filmed, photographed, recorded
for posterity. The Perfect Wedding Day.
Costly but, needless to say,
his future in-laws are loaded.

So, in his mind, everything is more or less
sorted. They can choose the venue, and the church,
just as long as she sports his choice of dress.
He’s relieved to have found it.
Now he just needs a female to compound it.
