Viburnum Dawn

I spent much of the day in the greenhouse putting tulip bulbs into pots listening to podcasts downloaded into my phone.  So Abu Hassan tulips were potted up to Guardian long read on the changing nature of politics and the global trend towards populist, less tolerant nationalist regimes.  Then I remembered that at one time there was a suggestion that plants responded to music though I cannot remember any outcomes – whether, eg sweet peas germinated better to romantic orchestral stuff.  I thought accounts of modern politics weren’t going to be a good start for my tulips.  I switched to comedy.
