A close shave

I took my son-in-law to a Turkish barber in Kendal.  It was the first time he had experienced  being shaved with a cut-throat razor.  It also involved hot towels and, for some unaccountable reason, a massage of his arms and shoulders.  All in all it was quite an experience, and he emerged refreshed and invigorated.

Later we went to Arnside and climbed Arnside Knot, which I have never visited before, despite the fact that my father's ashes were scattered there more than twenty years ago.  The panoramic vista from the top is quite spectacular, and includes this sweep of the Lake District fells.
