Lapland Longspur

Saw this rather rare bird while out today.

"One of the most abundant terrestrial birds wintering in northern North America, the Lapland Longspur breeds across vast areas of the Arctic, where it is almost invariably the most visible and abundant bird and sometimes the only nesting songbird. In winter, it is generally uncommon in eastern North America."

The 3 Amigos have moved on to another wonderful Kiwi host.  They are staying with GingerNan and even got to meet Spikes2013, someone I've been connected to on blip for years but have never met.  Lucky boys!

Stop by and see what they had for breakfast!
