Hoglet

Grandson number two was home today so he suggested a run over Exmoor.....so after snack lunch we hit the road. It was lovely as i don't often get him 'captive' so we nattered non stop catching up on all he is doing. Always good.
We came across this tiny little hedgehog struggling in the mud alongside the road. It looked decidedly underweight/small so we discussed what to do. We brought it home and are feeding it appropriately and will contact our local hedgehog rehousing folk.  It is snug in a box of dried leaves on the porch for the moment.
Not sure if we should have left it but hope it will have a better survival chance if fed up through the winter and released in the spring.
The extra shows some of the colour on the moor.
