Bollards

Earlier this week when I parked up at the common and got the dogs, pushchair and other walking paraphernalia out, there were about eight workmen in high-vis jackets receiving a lengthy health and safety briefing from a young chap in a hard hat. The following day the road was closed and there were high hopes in the dog walking community of it being tarmaced. Disappointingly, however, they just filled in some of the holes, which is okay for me as I have a four-wheel-drive but might not be ideal for those who don’t. We’ll see how long the repairs last this time.

Meanwhile, all that remains of the working party is a couple of bollards and a broom, which seem to have become a permanent fixture (I guess they left in a hurry).
