Hillman Imp 1963 -76

This picture is in our local Morrisons supermarket along with many other large photos and artworks depicting the history of local industry. The Imp and its variants were made in nearby Linwood this photo depicting the bodies made in the original Pressed Steel factory before crossing to the new assembly lines built by Rootes. Our family loyally had 5 Imps during their production period but the car lost out to the Mini in the long term
