Birthday

Had a very busy day to celebrate my birthday. Met a friend for coffee and a breakfast roll first thing then went into town to meet my mum off the bus from Dundee. We had a browse in a few shops on George Street before going to the Dome for Afternoon Tea. As any Edinburgh resident know the Dome puts its magnificent Christmas decorations up in October so we were surrounded by thousands of twinkling lights and the smell of cinnamon pine cones!

After eating our fill of sandwiches and delicious cakes we walked up to the Festival Theatre. We were there to see "The Voice" Russell Watson. The show was excellent and I even got to shake his hand when he came down into the audience.

Having just missed our bus on the Bridges we walked down to Princes Street to get another one so by the time we got home I had over 15,000 steps to end the day!
