BOO HOOOO

A note from our Grounds team

"Estates is currrently investigating what caused the 200-year-old tree to fall.

A 250-year tree on the Cedar Lawn was lost to the small cedar aphid disease in 2009, and has been transformed into a sculpture. Only one cedar tree now remains growing on Walton Hall campus.

An Estates spokesperson said the loss was 'sad'. "Our priority now is to make the area safe and to remove the tree.
"We are asking staff not to breach the safety barriers to take photos, as it is not safe. (oops should I have told the camera club about this??)
"We are looking at the fallen tree to see if there is any disease associated."

I am too sad to add any of my words
