Taking the back roads Back blip

Riding 4X4's on state roads is permitted in WV if there is no painted lines on the road. Our road is dirt and bed rock, there is not a painted road for miles and miles. Most of our roads are one and a half lanes, and you have to pull to the side to let a vehicle pass. There are huge potholes and slips everywhere. The roads are in such bad shape due to the heavy trucks and equipment involved in the pipeline. I have to say they work on our road almost daily and have plans to repair all damage when the work is done. I guess we will see. There are people who live in these hills who only have access to there homes by way of 4X4's or farm tractors because they have to cross a run to get home. Horses  or mules were used in the past and some are still used today. Most farmers here have at least a few horses on their farm.
