stuff

I love contraptions, even when I don't know what their purpose is. I saw this in grass at the side of a path in a local park and I stopped and just looked at it for a full 5 minutes. It, to me, speaks of a different era, one before mobile phones, Instagram, emails and computer assisted drawings. It reminds me of our inventiveness, our creativity, that something practical can also look beautiful - to me at least.
So I'm glad that it remained as an exhibit, a reminder of former times when we were not so reliant on machines to design things for us, when machines were created by us as things of beuaty instead!
