The last rose of Summer

As I was leaving our garden to go for my walk in the woods today I found this moss rose blooming away on its own. All the others are long since past and the bush is covered in rose hips.
My walk was full of glorious Autumn colours and I met a cur Jackapoo (cross Jack Russell and Poodle) called Harris and walked a while with him and his owner, then the last bit I walked with neighbour Saffron and her gorgeous Labradoodle. Good walk. Now listening to endless fireworks all around us!!
