Monastery of Taxiarcho Michael Tharri

Apart from a couple of priests we were the only people there. All you could hear was the wind in the trees and the birds. The monastery is situated in the middle of Rhodes on the site of an old temple dedicated to Apollo. The present church was built in the 9th to 11th centuries and there has been a christian church here since the 5th century  AD.
