Herring

One of the advantages of flying through Schipol, when there is enough time between flights, is being able to stop at the Bubbles bar.

The treat is a herring sandwich, complete with Dutch flag, and a glass of Prosecco, maybe even two if there is time.

As Bubbles is in the Schengen side of the airport it can really only be enjoyed when flying between Schengen countries. For some reason there is no herring available on the non Schengen part of the airport. By itself this would almost be sufficient reason for the British Isles to join the Schengen area.
