Lake District Day 3

The weather forecast had been making today look unfavourable since the week began. We set out this morning in soft light and an expectation of very heavy rain but it thankfully never really came. John's suggestion of Manesty Woods on the edge of Derwent Water meant we had at least some element of cover from the trees when it did rain.

We had a great day in the mixed conditions, a great chance to challenge yourself a bit and experiment with a few techniques. In the extras there is Derwent Water in the rain and a bit of long exposure on trees capturing the movement generated by the breeze, something I'd not normally do.

The main blip shows the beauty of the autumnal colours on the shoreline.
