Mother Georgia

Overlooking Tbilisii and installed in 1958 to celebrate the city's 1500th birthday. The statue symbolizes Georgia's national character: in one hand she holds a bowl of wine to greet those who come as friends; in her other hand, a sword for those who come as enemies.
