Keeping Me Sane

"The Season"

In this time of economic instability, people are looking for bargains. They shop where they can find the best deals while others shop without limits. They rarely think of the people that don't have jobs or assistance of any kind. The Friday after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday where people camp overnight at the doors of their favorite stores so they can fight for one item. Saturday is "Buy Local", then it's Cyber Monday. A new tradition after Thanksgiving is Giving Tuesday. This year may not get the attention it deserves because of the Power Ball Lottery with an estimated $500 million prize. People that can't afford it are gambling with their grocery, gas, or child care money. It doesn't make sense. Even if it's Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday......give to your favorite charity or to the local food bank. Donate clothes, coats and blankets to the homeless or abuse shelters.
