My grandfather was stationed at the Battery before the war began. That is how he met my grandmother in 1910. He fought in many conflicts around the world and in 1914 he was on active service in Northern France. He was lucky to survive where thousands of others were not so fortunate. We all owe these brave men an everlasting debt of gratitude.
It seems to be Friday again already - how did that happen?
