Lunch and the cinema

We had a voucher for lunch at a hotel just outside the town, a gift for the HG's recent birthday. We had never been there before; it used to be a school for special needs, but a few years ago that closed and it was opened as a hotel.  Have blipped the building which dates back to 1901, used to be part of a large country estate, and also blipped the long driveway with the autumn colours still hanging on.

We had a lovely lunch, with wine for me, in the very quiet surroundings.  It seems that it is very busy at weekends, and also for parties and weddings, but today it was very quiet.

Then we went to the cinema to the 'A Star is Born'....good movie, although the music was too loud.  It also seemed that there was swearing in every sentence.

Home now and didn't need much to eat, so had some toasted cheese and tomato, delicious, with a cup of tea.

It was a dull day so a good day for doing these things.
