Planted late Sunday. Germinating today.

Lettuce seedlings well on the way. Their new home is ready in the newly constructed planters in the garden (see the past couple of days).

Next project is potatos. Just ordered some hessian sacks
(no not the guy from Sleepy Hollow with no head and a bad temper).

Step 1. Potato depth soil in a plastic sack (like an old compost bag) put in potato seeds, sorry seed potatos. Roll down the sides and put the same depth of soil again on top.

Step 2. Put this in a rolled down hessian sack for aesthetic reasons only. (We are soooooo vain.)

Step 3. As the leaves grow up, earth up on top/around till you have fully unrolled your plastic/hessian thing.

Step 4. When the leaves start to grow back the potatos will flourish..

Step 5. Put on a big floppy hat, a piece of straw in your mouth, say "ooo aaarr" a lot and harvest your potato's.

Step 6. Make cottage pie.
