Bohemian Rhapsody

Been to the pictures with 2 teenagers, my kids, to see Bohemian Rhapsody. Sure they had heard of Queen and knew a few songs but they didn't know the story.

A great film, one I always thought would be corny or ham fisted, but 15 years in 2 hours bounces along and tells a story of Freddie, rather than Queen.

Funny, sad, happy, hilarious, ridiculous all at once with a great cast, and all 4 of the band had their looks, mannerisms off to a tee.

Usually actors pretending to play musical instruments are dire but these guys nailed it.

Rami Malek must surely win an Oscar for this too, it's unnerving watching him, you forget it's him not Freddie.

A great film, a feel good story...even with the sad ending we all know.

Picture is me taking a picture of the real Live Aid as of course I put in on as soon as we got home.

I was lucky to see them in 1986 at Maine Road, and remember watching Live Aid as it happened and that feeling that something special was happening.
