INCOMPETENCE

Because of the non-stop heat wave we had this summer the grass of the small lawn in front of our Hôtel de Ville got well & truly fried. Although there is all the water they could possibly want only three metres away, the maintenance crew maintained their incompetence & let most of the grass die!

Last week they scarified it, raked away all the dead stuff & spread bucket-loads of seed which they still neglected to water. Pffff! The pigeons are delighted!
