What struck my fancy

Our Memorial

at my old school, I was participating in the Remembrance Service, in my capacity as president of the old boys' association, so could not take any photos of the event itself. I was rather attracted by the colourful carpet of fallen leaves - the extra.

My duty was to read out part of the Act of Remembrance:
They shall grow not old
As we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them
Nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them.

The school put on a moving first class event to mark the 100th anniversary.
