At the setting of the sun...

Today Chris and I popped into town to see the big poppy that's been painted on the grass in front of St Chad's ready for the special 100 year Remembrance Sunday tomorrow. We walked up the steep bank in front of Shrewsbury School to try and get a good view of it from above but we couldn't quite get the right angle. We then walked into the Quarry just as the light was changing and the shadows were getting longer. I took this picture standing on a bench to get as much of the poppy as possible but it's still not brilliant.
Afterwards we headed to Dobbies and picked up some bargain pansies for my tubs and had a cuppa in their cafe.
