100 years ago

the guns fell silent.
Among all those that died were many thousands of animals.
Today in Barnstaple two beautiful heavy horses joined the parade to remind us of the animal sacrifice as well as the human.
It was wonderful to see these magnificent beasts walking behind those in uniform, so they are my blip choice.
