Smokey air quality

These are my grandsons, Jack & Grant on their way to school with their dad, Mark. The boys are wearing face masks because of the smokey air conditions.  This is a small inconvenience, compared to the thousands of people who have lost their homes due to the fires.

California’s fire season  began with scant rainfall and abnormally warm temperatures which parched the landscape and created tinderbox conditions. Then came howling winds that fanned the flames, once the fires were sparked. And, in an environment of rising temperatures, climate change increased their potential intensity.

We are all blessed to be safe and sound.
