When Fergus visited a slate Quarry

A wet morning.
Waterproofs on, we went along the road to explore the walk which starts at one of the now disused slate quarries in Ballachulish. After a look round the quarry, where a group were doing some onshore work for a kayaking trip, we set off uphill on the track that would take us to Brecklet, an abandoned settlement situated above the village of Ballachulish.

We had lunch back at our holiday cottage and got dry.

In the afternoon we had a gentler walk round the forest trail and the loch trail at Glencoe Lochan.
