This Year’s Chamois Babies

Above Leysin, I spent several hours watching the herds of chamois gathering for the rut, the only time when the females and males, who are solitary at other times of the year, come together. These two babies were observing the males chasing each other for dominance, see extra, and none of them were taking much notice of me as I sat close by on the sharp karst limestone pavements.

Thanks for all the recent gifts for my journal, last night I went to see Bohemian Rhapsody which I thought was brilliant. The difficulty of being so very different so genuinely, painfully, portrayed.
