Under, Around, or Over?

This is the interesting 9th hole at Pine Valley in Wilmington.  It's the last tournament of the season for our monthly league play, and followed by a dinner.  We play at a different course each month.

After arriving, we enjoyed coffee and a Krispy Kreme.  At the registration desk, Tony handed me an envelope containing $17.00, my share of our foursome's 2nd place winnings from last month.  Today, a new team, and we are playing Captain's Choice.

Getting back to this hole.  This unfortunately was the best drive of the four.  It lies too far right for a straight away shot with a wedge.  Going over is difficult.  The Oak Tree is beautiful, but huge.  Going under is equally challenging with bunkers protecting the green.  And who has the skill to go around?

Our "B" player hit a beautiful shot over and on to the green.  Our group finished the tournament in the middle with a 4 under, 68.
