Hanging on

I notice this hydrangea head amongst many in a garden on a sunshiny day and thought it looked rather beautiful with the afternoon light glancing through it.
The autumn colour palette is so calming in comparison to the ever increasing mania that occurs in this six week run up to Christmas.

The huge Edinburgh celebrations start on Friday which is hard to believe as it seems that only yesterday we were in the middle of summer even if the light is now going at 3:30 in the afternoon. However the Christmas tree on the Mound is up and the Christmas market stalls ready to do business. I’ll have to invoke some Christmas spirit, but tonight it’s just more of the raspberry liqueur spirit for this Lady.
