Quack quack

Three of our five Aylesbury ducks enjoying the morning sunshine sitting happily amongst the fallen leaves.

These three are always together and the other two stay separately as a pair. One of the latter has some difficulty in waddling around now. She seems quite contented though and loves her food

Aylesbury ducks are genetically bred to be table ducks and are too heavy for their legs. They suffer from arthritis and the only thing the vet can do is give them Metacam, which is quite difficult to administer.

Another lovely day and quite a lazy one for me. Coffee with friends before a Pilates class and more coffee with another friend after the class. It seemed warm enough to sit outside but we stayed indoors with the sun shining through the windows. I had the pool to myself and there were only two other people in the spa area. Very relaxing.
