Now......

.....who Flora MacDonald was I have no idea but I thought this was a tiny bit of history.  I had to find some wool to mend a tear in R's cap, then, of course, a needle.  This is what I came up with.  Probably my mother-in-laws from long ago.  Who would know what a 'darner' and 'hose' meant these days but people of a certain age!  I used to be quite good at darning and actually enjoyed it using a darning mushroom....which I still have!
