Gifted

This is one of the sculptures from the Gifted exhibition at the Scottish Poetry Library, well worth a visit.
We treated ourselves to a bargain hotel last night so we could have a relaxed anniversary meal and a rare day off in Edinburgh. We shared a huge waffle for breakfast, stopped off at the farmers' market to sample a buffalo burger, before heading up to the castle.
It was a lovely clear day and we could see for miles. A couple of hours later we wandered down the Mile to the Scottish Poetry Library, hidden away down one of the closes. After admiring these ordnate sculptures we had a pit stop for a drink before walking back to Lothian road to pick up the car, via a cafe for tea and cake.
