Before and After Bedroom

After a week of scraping, sanding, painting, moving furniture, cutting up carpet the new carpet was laid today and we put it all back again.

Much of the furniture was painted with furniture paint and the result is remarkably good.
Marlane has been cutting and sewing for the cushion covers, bedspread and making the new headboard cover (it's foam on mdf under the cover). She had the idea for the headboard over 20 years ago and just changes the covering material. About a month ago I saw, on a makeover programme, this 'new' idea of making a headboard of foam and covering it with material.
She is usually a few years ahead of the, so called, 'experts' in the field of interior design.
New mattress and bed to arrive yet.

All in all it's a good result, we are both exhausted again.
