Looking one way then another

Eventually managed to meet up with Chantler63 this morning after my train was delayed due to slippy rails...  We had a plan. Coffee.  Talk.  Solve world problems.  Walk.  Lunch.  Talk. Photograph. Tea.  Home.  It nearly worked.

We did Tea and sweet things.  Talked.  Solved our world problems,  Walked along the canals in preparation for a possible Blipfoto photography walk blip meet, got the cameras out (And one tripod), walked,   AND THEN, a surprise blipmeeting with Robvegnuti so coffee and sandwiches were the order of the day.  Good to meet you again Rob.

Thank you Kathy for making the trip.

The light on the canal was lovely today and we found some interesting reflections for Abstract Thursday although I struggle to link them to the theme of tapestry.  I took this shot, and then turned round the other way to look towards the City on this arm of the Digbeth link.  Those of you who know the city should be able to at least recognise St Martin's in the Bullring and the distinctive shape of the Selfridge's building in the extra.

I think robvegnuti is going to plan a Birmingham Blipmeet for the new year, so look out for the details of that.

And just by way of a diary entry, i had a phone call on the way home to tell me that my sister is in hospital having unhinged something inside her in a violent coughing fit.  And, in addition to that, her son's father in law has been admitted to hospital and seems to be on his final journey .  They are all in the same hospital.  But of course that means that my nephew is busy with family matters, so guess who is going to have to trundle down the motorway to Worcester shortly to find out what is happening and take my sister's neighbour home after she was kind enough to escort my sister to hospital...    Oh,  Nearly forgot.  Mom's lost her teeth again.

Exit, laughing manically...
