Pied stilt at Mccormack's Bay, Christchurch

An early walk down to the Avon-Heathcote estuary yielded little activity today, but this lone stilt walked along the water's edge while its mate hung out on one of the islands. I intended to get my macro lens out again and play around with the cacti in the conservatory, but that will have to wait for another day.
