Bonsai Fall Color.......

This tee is a Chinese Elm, from China.  The tree was originally imported from China 11 or 12 years ago, but now, can be readily found in the U.S..  It is a deciduous tree, which means it goes dormant in the winter.  It's leaves change color as the cold temperatures touch then.  The same process that changes all of your trees, where you live, changes this Chinese Elm.
I first acquired this tree in 2010.  It was a learning tree....  Over the past 10 years I have grown it, air layered it, grown it again, and now it is in a crescent pot for a cascade tree.  While the trunk of the tree leans right and down, (like a cascade) I have been wiring it downward on the left, for 3 or 4 years, but as you can see, the tree doesn't want to do that.  It keeps growing upwards, reaching for the sun.  I recognize that this is a losing vision.
The Elm can't be repotted until January when it is completely dormant.  In the meantime I will look and think hard about how else to pot this tree, so that it is more in line with what the tree is.
It's a continuation, as the living tree is always growing and changing.....
