Fabulous Fog....

We had such a great time today! Fellow blipper Tookie/Clare came and picked us up from our hotel at 8, and we headed for the car ferry that took us across Elliott Bay to Bainbridge Island. We stopped at the local bakery for a morning treat, then headed toward Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic National Park, where we hoped to get a great view of the Olympic Mountains. The weather was all over the place—clear, cloudy, foggy—but I love the fog, so didn’t mind that part of it at all, as it was so dramatic moving over both the trees and the mountains! We were lucky that the sun came out once we were at the ridge, some of the fog dissipated, & we were treated to some stunning views! From there we went to Lake Crescent lodge, which was lovely—beautiful scenery, and a very friendly buck that let us get really close to take pictures! One last stop to walk into the forest to see a waterfall (Madison Falls), then back to the ferry to return to the hotel. The only regret is that I’m posting from my phone so can’t put in any extras!!!
We loved meeting you in person, Clare, loved spending the day with you, and huge thanks for making our day so special!!! :))
