My topsy-turvy life

Lobot

Finally, after so much asking and waiting we took Owen for his newborn hearing test today. It was really important to me, because of Mike, to get this done and quite frustrating that it's taken so long.

It comes in 2 parts...
AOAE - automated otoacoustic emission test; an earpiece plays soft clicking sounds and waits for a response from the cochlear.
AABR - automated auditory brainstem response test; 3 sensors placed on the head and neck and headphones are stuck over his hears. Soft clicking sounds are played to see what the brain response is.

Owen was really chilled out and passed both tests with flying colours!
Although the headphones did make him look a bit like Lobot from Star Wars.
