A little patch of blue

It's been raining here since yesterday, the wind has been gusting at 100k and the temperature has dropped down so far it feels like we are back into winter.

Trees have blown down everywhere, power is off in many areas, quite a few houses have lost their roofs, one man was killed and a few people have been injured by flying debris. Our roof was groaning and creaking all night as the wind tore at it but it stayed there rock solid thank goodness.

Needless to say we ducked out quickly this morning for just a short walk during a break in the rain and I snapped this little patch of blue then we scuttled back inside to huddle for the rest of the day.

The rest of the country is sweltering in 40 degree heat and we've got the heater on, quite bizarre!
