Compound umbel of Wild Carrot

:-) I was looking up Wild Carrot in Wikipedia, wanting to know for sure I was correctly ID-ing this flower head and found out that this kind of flower head is called a compound umbel ! New thing learned today ! It's another flower in the bouquet that arrived on Thursday (just to explain, I have an ongoing account with an online florist to get a new different bouquet every two weeks). I do like the shape of this flower.

Thanks so much for all your creative entries for last week's Abstract Thursday challenge with its optional theme of 'tapestry'. I never knew there were so many ways of turning photographs into tapestry or other needlework. This coming (Thanksgiving) Thursday the optional theme is 'togetherness' and the tag will be AT178

Here's the list of last Thursday's specials:
hinden       for a swirly design which could well be translated into a modern carpet
Tommie2      for a very natural weave of plants abstract
DigitalDave   for a soft carpet of moss
mambo         for the amazing needlepoint transformation of a branch with berries
Doyley           for seeing the tapestry in a spider's web

Looking forward to your entries this Thursday !

Thanks so much for your kind comments an stars for yesterday's Kangaroo Paw flower
