In the distance

If you look at the horizon you can see the boats taking part in this year's Route du Rhum whizzing along at the start of the race. I needed a much longer zoom to capture them, they are a few kilometres off-shore. However you do get a good look at the fort which is a lot closer!

The extra is one of the local boats that went out to watch the start of the race.

This is back blipped, so actually by the time I posted this picture the leaders have already arrived in Guadeloupe on the other side of the Atlantic!
